Use Platinum Instant Sourdough to add real sourdough flavor to your favorite yeast bread recipes.
Only use a full packet of Platinum Instant Sourdough to get the correct amount of yeast and flavor. Simply substitute one full packet for one (0.25 ounce/7 gram) packet or 2 ¼ teaspoons of dry (active or instant) yeast.
When used in place of a standard (0.25 ounce/7 gram) packet of dry yeast in any of your favorite yeast recipes, Platinum® Instant Sourdough adds a mild sourdough flavor to the final baked good.
IMPORTANT USAGE NOTES: Since the packet contains a blend of yeast and dried sourdough starter, only full packets of Platinum® Instant Sourdough should be used in recipes. A full packet must be used. Use one full packet in place of one standard (0.25-ounce/7-gram) packet or 2 ¼ teaspoons of dry (instant or active dry) yeast. Only full packets should be used. Platinum® Instant Sourdough is NOT intended to be used in place of a sourdough starter in a traditional sourdough recipe that calls for a sourdough starter. Use it to replace active dry or instant yeast in a recipe.
IMPORTANT USAGE NOTES:
One packet of Platinum® Instant Sourdough will raise up to 4 cups (about 1 pound) of flour.

This product is produced in a facility where products containing soybean, wheat, barley, oat and milk derivatives are produced. Proper procedures are followed to avoid cross-contamination.
Be good to your yeast, and it will perform well in your bread! Don’t forget that yeast is a living organism, and its freshness and shelf life are dependent on how the yeast is stored. Dry yeast will lose its leavening power if exposed to air, moisture or heat, even when it is still in a sealed jar or package. Learning the correct way to store your yeast will keep it fresher longer.
For best results, use the yeast prior to the best if used by date stamped on the package. This date is 1 year from the date the yeast was packaged.
The packets are flushed with nitrogen at the time of packaging to remove oxygen.

Platinum Instant Sourdough is a living organism and must be handled properly to ensure optimum performance. Never expose yeast to high temperatures during storage or use.
Store this product at a comfortable room temperature, away from heat sources, or it may be stored in the refrigerator or freezer.
