Foamy magic 🫧🪄If you ever find yourself wondering, “is my yeast still good?” Here’s what you do! 👇📍In a one-cup liquid measuring cup, dissolve 1 teaspoon of sugar in 1/2 cup warm water. (110-115F/43-46C)📍Stir in one packet (2 1/4 teaspoon/7 grams) of the yeast in question. Make sure there are no granules left on top.📍After 3-4 minutes, the yeast will have absorbed enough liquid to activate and begin foaming. 📍After 10 minutes, the foamy yeast mixture should have risen to the 1-cup mark and have a rounded top. 📍If this happened for you, your yeast is still good! Be sure to use in your recipe immediately. NOTE: Be sure to deduct 1/2 cup liquid from recipe to adjust for water used in the test.📍If this is not the case, discard your yeast. 🥺
