Vintage Sauced Ribs
A sweet-sour sauce with the Vintage Fruit bakes atop ribs for a tasty, attractive main dish.

Ingredients
- 4 to 6 lbs. Country-style ribs or Spareribs
- 2 tsp Salt
- ½ tsp Pepper
- ¼ cup Brown sugar, packed
- 3 TBSP Cornstarch
- ½ tsp Ground ginger
- ¼ tsp Garlic powder
- 1 cup Water
- ½ cup Vintage Fruit syrup
- ½ cup Apple cider vinegar
- 2 TBSP Soy sauce
- 1 cup Vintage Fruit, drained
- 1 Small onion, sliced
- Cooked rice
Instructions
- Sprinkle ribs with salt and pepper; wrap tightly in heavy foil packets, sealing well. Place on cookie sheets. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour. In medium saucepan, combine brown sugar, cornstarch, ginger and garlic powder; gradually add water, stirring until smooth. Add Vintage Fruit syrup, vinegar and soy sauce. Cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly. Add drained Vintage Fruit; remove from heat. Place ribs in shallow baking dish; top with onion slices. Spoon sauce over ribs. Bake uncovered until tender, about 1-1/2 hours. Serve over rice.
