Bread Machine Everything Bread
A homemade yeast bread with everything bagel seasoning inside AND on top! Makes delicious toast and grilled cheese sandwiches! Made in a bread machine.
Small Loaf (1-pound bread machine)
- 3/4 cup plus 3 tablespoons water
- 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
- 2 1/4 cups bread flour
- 1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats
- 2 teaspoons dried minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon plus 1 1/2 teaspoons dried minced onion
- 1 tablespoon plus 1 1/2 teaspoons poppy seeds
- 1 tablespoon plus 1 1/2 teaspoons sesame seeds
- 2 teaspoons caraway seeds
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Red Star Active Dry Yeast
Medium Loaf (1 1/2-pound bread machine)
- 1 1/2 cups plus 1 tablespoon water
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 3 cups bread flour
- 1 cup old fashioned rolled oats
- 1 tablespoon dried minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons dried minced onion
- 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon caraway seeds
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 (0.25oz) package (7g) or 2 1/4 teaspoons Red Star Active Dry Yeast
Large Loaf (2-pound bread machine)
- 1 1/2 cups plus 3 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon plus 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
- 4 cups bread flour
- 1 1/2 cups old fashioned rolled oats
- 1 tablespoon plus 2 teaspoons dried minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons plus 1 1/2 teaspoons dried minced onion
- 2 tablespoons plus 1 1/2 teaspoons poppy seeds
- 2 tablespoons plus 1 1/2 teaspoons sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon plus 2 teaspoons caraway seeds
- 2 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 3/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Red Star Active Dry Yeast
Topping
- 1 1/2 teaspoons warm water
- 1/8 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon dried minced garlic
- 3/4 teaspoon dried minced onion
- 3/4 teaspoon poppy seeds
- 3/4 teaspoon sesame seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
- 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- Pinch of black pepper
Have liquid ingredients at 80°F and all other ingredients at room temperature. Place ingredients in pan in the order recommended by manufacturer. Select basic cycle and medium/normal crust. Do not use delay timer. Check dough consistency after 5 minutes of kneading. The dough should be in a soft, tacky ball. If it is dry and stiff, add water, 1/2 to 1 tablespoon at a time. If it is too wet and sticky, add 1 tablespoon of flour at a time. When machine begins bake cycle, brush top of bread with 1 1/2 teaspoons water combined with ⅛ teaspoon cornstarch. In a small bowl, mix together all seasonings. Sprinkle on top of bread.
