Bread Machine Sticky Buns
A quick and easy sweet roll recipe to prepare in the morning for a delicious breakfast treat.
Dough
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 large egg
- 3 cups bread flour
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 (0.25oz) package (7g) or 2 1/4 teaspoons Red Star Active Dry Yeast
Filling
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Have water and milk at 80ºF, and all others at room temperature. Place ingredients in pan in the order recommended by manufacturer. Select dough/manual cycle. Do not use the delay timer. Check dough consistency after 5 minutes of kneading. The dough should be in a soft, tacky ball. If it is dry and stiff, add water, 1/2 to 1 tablespoon at a time. If it is too wet and sticky, add 1 tablespoon of flour at a time. When cycle is complete, continue with next step.
Turn dough onto lightly floured surface; punch down to remove air bubbles. Roll or pat into a 15x12-inch rectangle. Spread softened butter evenly over dough. Sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over buttered dough.
Starting with shorter side, roll up tightly. Pinch edges to seal. Cut into 12 slices. Place in greased 13x9-inch cake pan. Cover; let rise until indentation remains after touching.
Preheat oven to 375º F.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. Remove from pan; cool on wire rack.
